Sometimes I wonder why it happens over and again.

I thought we turned the corner over January. Only for it to happen twice over the space of a week. And it had to happen when I have the most free time out. I really don't know. I just feel so drained by this whole journey called NS. And when these kind of things happen, it just makes everything feel damn shitty. I'm damn tired but I'm not sure I can sleep.

I just hope for a better day, if not it'll be one times screwed up week in camp.

As we near the end.

This journey of barely 10 weeks has been one of the most challenging periods of my life. I've practically forgotten how it feels like to be a civilian. Weekends out of camp are special times, and your house suddenly transforms into the most amazing 5 star hotel, complete with the love and warmth of your family. And as we near the end, with the completion of almost every major activity to becoming trained in the basics of soldiering. And the worry begins to shift to where each of us will be posted to. I'm hoping against hope that I will fall within that slim percentage to get to wear the blue uniform again.

And I badly need an increase in allowance, and some discipline to curb my excessive weekend expenditure.

How 4 days can just fly past so quickly when you're out.

And 4 days inside seem like eternity, I can't understand. Back to what my life has been given to.

Had a wonderful time with you today. =)

I thought CNY would be a good, long, well-deserved break. And that I could spend some time doing stuff that I enjoy. And everyday of the week just seems to get worst.

I'm disappointed.

Cause we lan lan have to serve, have to serve.

9 weeks into my 2 year countdown and I feel so drained. I really miss the times when I could come back home. When I had all the freedom I wanted. Whether to choose what I wanted to eat. Or when I wanted to sleep. Or where I wanted to go. Valentine's was spent really meaningfully, complete with my sergeant and my rifle. It may only be 9 weeks but I've clean forgotten how it feels like to be a civillian. Booking out on weekends knowing that the time you spend away from that dreaded island is a minimum. It's beginning to get to me. I've given my best, and I hope I'll get a good posting after I graduate. Now, I just hope to get some rest over this festive break and return without falling sick.

And I've yet to pass my IPPT. Screw it.

I love Le Coq Sportif!

Too bad its a damn expensive obsession and I'm only on a recruit's allowance.

Anyway, a shoutout to my Baby since Valentine's on Wednesday and I'll be stuck in camp. Love you! =)

Seeing the back of January.

I cannot emphasize how happy I am to see the back of January. It has been a long and tiring month. And many things people told me I can finally understand. I guess coming from a Uniformed Group, I sort of expected NS life to be something like what we did. And if you have that mentality you will be in for a bit of a rude shock. In the end you will still have to pass through this phase, but I really hope I get posted to the vocation I want to be at. Which is not what I started off hoping to acheive. The journey for me is only at the beginning, but I'm tired of all this. I want to go back to school. And dump that uniform somewhere in the store. I'm tired and I'm frustrated.

I'm breaking.

When discipline is present, it is evident. It is the precise control of every aspect of one's self. It is the bedrock of success.

Favourite Bible Verses

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

And we know that all things work together for good to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28

He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
1 John 4:8-9

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
Galations 5:22-23

For I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.
2 Timothy 1:12

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Galatians 2:20

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
