What a disappointment.

It is getting pretty frustrating for me, being sick for a complete week now. I feel breathless when I do the simplest of things such as climbing a flight of steps at a quicker pace to catch the train. And I had really hoped to use this time to boost my fitness a little with one eye on my (probable) enlistment in december. Moreover, I badly wanted to play soccer before some cut off date when my parents insist that I should not play, because of the close proximity of the Advanced Level Examinations. Lest some freak accident occur and I fracture my arm and all. Furthermore, I had hoped to watch Manchester United play at least once, but that too did not happen because they had a 12am kickoff on sunday morning. And of course, I won't catch this morning's match because it is not shown on the local network.

It did not make things much better when Jonathan did not win Singapore Idol. Because as much as he had inferior vocals, I thought he made up for it so much more by having awesome stage presence and was someone who could connect with the audience. Apparently, not many people in Singapore agreed with me on that. It was not helped by the fact that most (if not all) of the Top 12 contestants seemed to be lip-syncing (is it slept this way? What I meant was they only were mouthing the lyrics of the song rather than actually singing it live.) rather than singing during their performance of a medley of songs. It almost felt as though they were treating the viewers like idiots.

Got back my chemistry papers today and got 65.5%. I, obviously, had hoped for a much better score. But the fact that my paper 3 was done extremely poorly means that I will just have to try much harder. It was probably my only hope for getting an A, and since I did not, I am not exactly looking forward to the checking of scripts tomorrow. Its 35 days to the Advanced Levels, and I am far from ready. Sigh, I guess its now or never. Haha.

All the best to those taking examinations!

Edit: I really, really hate analogue electronics.

Reminiscence the past, cherish the present, look forward to the future with hope.

When discipline is present, it is evident. It is the precise control of every aspect of one's self. It is the bedrock of success.
